Thanks Randy,

It worked just fine using Chrome.  I went through all the pages and really liked a lot of the combos.  Very helpful.  I will be trying some of them soon.  Jeff

Sorry, When I first visited your site all I saw was a vertical pattern and a single link that didn't work. I just revisited and now see the line "POTTERY GLAZE TESTING" and then there is about 8 inches of blank vertical space before your content begins (I had to scroll down to find it.) Once I got to it, I agree with Jeff. Nice glaze combos and nicely documented as well. I'm using google Chrome, too.

thanks for posting- great combinations and comments about the glazes

iHave a question about the comment you made about the bisque firing. you mentioned holding the bisque firing at medium for 5 hours.  Could you be more specific about the actual temperature?  I would like to try this. I have a skutt 1227 and what I usually do is  turn kiln to L on all 3 dials,  wait 1 1/2 hours and turn all dials up to Med, then after another 1 1/2 hours turn all to to high.  fire until cone 06.  around what temp should I hold the kiln for 5 hours?

I was told to fire 5 to 6 hours on med to get rid of pinholes.

Very nice Randy. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge. Gotcha in my bookmarks! : ) Jen

Update on this comment.  You may or may not need to do a hold at this temp.  It just depends on your clay and glazes.  I was not able to resolve my pinhole problems until I changed my clay.  Pinholes disappeared.

Did not work with opera at all,  also tried on Explorer and Safari,  same result 404-error.  I am very disappointed because I wanted to see what you had to share.

Nadine

Nadine you should be able to get there.  Just cut copy and paste what I have into your address on your browser.  Make sure it is preceded by http://

I did try that the first time and when I use your link the page has vertical stripes all over and the links to the glazes do not work.  I tried refreshing the page,  re-setting safari and opera to no use!

Very frustrating.

Ok I scrolled down....DUH... and now I see them,  Thank you Brian!

N

What you see is what you get.  It does not normally run.  Depends on whether or how long you

do a hold and how much you put on.  I usually use it in layering glazes.

Thanks for posting this link. I'm going to mix up some Rowe's Brown and Leach clear Satin today. I'll come back and mix up others later. Keep on posting! This is great!
