Just want to say thank you to all the people who have shared glaze recipes! I have tested many, and just wanted to show and tell!

Beautiful work Juli! You should post these in your images.

I have this at a small gallery where I live. The white pots glaze is "Donna's Matte white base", the green pitchers on the top are modified xavier over metallic green. Top shelf, maggie moo on teapot and mugs, and teapot has maggie moo over nutmeg, and some of the pitchers and teapot on the fourth shelf are maggie moo over nutmeg.  Second shelf is xavier over metallic green over nutmeg.  I could not have done this without your help, so thank you so much!!!!

I love the green on the pitchers.  Is that Xavier's warm Jade?  I have seen that elsewhere, but the potter did not have the  recipe, she was working out of a co-op with their glazes.  Are you willing to share?    It looks a lot like one I have called SEAFOAM , but the green is brighter, more grass color in what you have.  Beautiful.

Martha,

Sharing is how I got these recipes!!   To get that grass green, I layer two glazes, I sometimes do one over the other and vice versa.  The xavier, and metallic green.  recipes below.

Revised Xavier warm jade green   (food safe)

G200 HP  22

frit 3134    16

Whiting     12

talc           9

Epk          20

Silica        21

copper carb     3

rutile        5

metallic green  (not food safe)

frit 3269    27

Gillespie borate   15

spodumene     40

epk      18

add

tin  ox       6.8

copper carb    4.8

Thank you.  I will mix and test soon.  I have been looking for a more true green for a while.

Is the rutile dark or light?  I just recently learned that it can make a difference.

Martha,

Sorry, I have no clue.  I just order rutile.
