I'm a teacher. I tell my students there is no such thing as a silly question, only that you are silly if you don't ask. :) I am happy to help, but admit that I have only been a potter about 20 months. I read a lot and ask a lot of questions.

I am very interested in Gartside glaze and use it often and would really  like to share testing with others.  Going to investigate a bit and see if anyone else is interested in starting a discussion group on this network to share results.  I talked to Brian Gartside by email a couple of years ago and he was very interested in seeing anything I came up with.

As yet no one has tested and commented on the remarkably inexpensive air brushes at harbor freight.

The critter siphon gun is a spray alternative that is well liked by some of our members, and is available at amazon.

ebay is a great alternative for many tools and the equipment used in the ceramics studio - kilns, wheels, extruders, slab rollers are often listed there both new and used.
