There are a number of glaze tests on my web site in the Potters Corner if anyone is interested.  Many tiles are layered glazes some of which are commerical glazes I have tested plus many others.  Pictures are included.

Hello Randy, I was looking at the replies and I notice the Randy Red glaze.  What is RIO and is there an alternative for it since I don't have any of it???

RIO is red iron oxide- gotta have it for this glaze.

Thanks a ton, Red Iron Oxide I have.  Can you send me the recipe again, I was just jumping from forum to forums and I'm not sure how to get back to where the recipe was..  Thanks

Should I come over and mix it for you, too?    Just kidding, really, I couldn't help myself :)

When I fire this glaze, on the cool down I hold it for 1 hour at 1650 degrees F after slow cooling from 1900 down to 1650 @ 150 degrees per hour.  Good luck.

That would be great, when are you coming???  Thanks a ton Tracy, I will let you know how it turns out.  I have a firing in about a week.  I will try to make you proud.....

After the hold to 1650 for an hour do you do and slow cooling?  If so, can I have your firing schedule?
