Potters & Sculptors - Making Rock from Mud
For those who haven't seen it already, here is a video that explains how to make a brilliantly simple and wonderfully versatile spray gun for less than $10. It allows you to change glazes so easily, you only need one of 'em.
This spray gun was created by Joe Dillett who is an engineer. He shows you how to use it then he breaks the gun down into easy to follow, step-by-step instructions, gives a complete list of all parts needed and so there will be no questions about what he means when he explains it, Joe demonstrates how to make the only part that must be made from scratch.
This is not a YouTube video tho....you have to download the file into your computer and then watch it with whatever media program you have. You will find the file on Joe's website:
http://www.thecarvingshop.net/
Scroll down to the bottom of the homepage and just above Joe's phone number you will see:
Spray Gun "Joe's Easy Spray System" File size is 142,350 kb
Click on the link and let the file download....it'll take a while. When you watch it, the video is about 15 minutes long.
Its genius!

Thanks Belinda, I will have a look! Jan
It looks like the file has been removed. I wonder if anyone here has downloaded the video and is willing to share it.
Hey, Lori,
I just emailed Joe Dillett to see if the video is available someplace else on the internet. Hopefully he just moved it to another site.
I have the video in my computer but its a big file and probably won't email. I might be able to copy it to CD but lets see what Joe's reply is first. Plus, if he has removed it for some reason, I feel I should get his permission before sending a copy to some one.

Good thinking Belinda. Thanks for the quick action also.
I use gravity feed spray guns that I get off of eBay for $9.89 delivered. When necessary, I drill out the orifice to a little larger size. They are well-designed and durable and I'm very happy with them.

If you just want to spout off, it is best accomplished as a blog posting. If you want to get more guidance and ideas from other members, ask a question as a new discussion topic. In the upper right corner of the lists for both types of posting, you will find an "+Add " button. Clicking it will open an editor where you create your posting. 4/16/2014
