- What is your experience with ceramics in general. (Long answer encouraged)
- Started doing pottery in 1998 or so, at Southwest School of Arts and Crafts in San Antonio, TX. I was drawn to pottery in my teens but never got the chance to do any until my 40's. I was a commercial artist and went back to school for a few degrees in anthropology, both of these experiences have colored my work. Ive been experimenting in
cone 6 since moving from San Antonio.
- What is your current involvement with electric fired ceramics? (long answer encouraged)
- For 2 years I've been working with cone 6 oxidation firing. Before that, I would fire to cone 10 reduction in the school kilns, then take my wares home and add cone 06 accents for a little pop of color. Cone 6 is the best of both worlds... hopefully.
- All our content is viewable by the public. Why do you want to be a member, when you can already see everything as a non-member?
- It would be good to have some feedback and ask questions since I'm working in isolation. I like working on my own, but input is helpful.

Harbor Freight is a great place to find unbeatable prices for better HVLP spray guns with stainless steel parts and serviceable economy models, as well as detail guns, all tested by our members for spraying glazes, as well as compressors to power the guns. As yet no one has tested and commented on the remarkably inexpensive air brushes at harbor freight.
The critter siphon gun is a spray alternative that is well liked by some of our members, and is available at amazon.
Amazon is also a competitive source for photo light tents for shooting professional quality pictures of your work. They also have the EZ Cube brand favored by several of our members. You might also want to purchase the book Photographing Arts, Crafts and Collectibles . . .
If you are up to creating videos of your work or techniques you might want to invest in a flip video camera

ebay is a great alternative for many tools and the equipment used in the ceramics studio - kilns, wheels, extruders, slab rollers are often listed there both new and used.
