Hey thanks for commenting on my bowl work. The glaze that's on that work is a crystal glaze, and no, there wasn't recycled glass added. It just happened to be the way the glaze pooled in the middle. It takes a few years to understand how to get it so the glaze doesn't oxide and look funky.
This glaze is rather complex. It involves all aspects of ceramics. The clay body needs to be porcelain, as the glaze is far more brilliant on this clay body. The kiln firing plays a huge role into how this glaze develops. The way you apply it, is another major factor, because this glaze runs. Every where.
The glaze recipe for you, if you wish to work with it:
Ferro Frit 3110
Zinc Oxide
Kaolin
Silica
Lihium Carbonate
and a colorant of your choosing.
