This doesnt look semi matte to me. ???

You could also try a smidge of nickel, but nickel doesn't always play nice with TD.  However if you are cutting back on the TD, it might behave itself.  jhp

So a tweak to spearmint then (about half the Cu and Ti and no Fe).  Must be fast cooled as well.  Thank you for that information since I am familiar with spearmint and it looks nothing like this to me.  I had considered adding iron to try and mute it and now know it would not do what I had in mind.  Perhaps a fraction of a percent of cobalt?

The recipe for this glaze is one of the color variations using the High calcium Semi matte Base 2 in the Mastering Cone 6 Glazes by Hesselberth and Roy (p-89). Spearmint, Bone, and Raw Sienna are other variations.

Came across this again and again got fooled again into thinking it was a real celadon.  I am now in position to test it and and am very much looking forward to it.
