Profile Information

What is your experience with ceramics in general. (Long answer encouraged)
I have been working with ceramics for about 15 years I am retired and like to experiment with glazes and mixing other media with the piece.
What is your current involvement with electric fired ceramics? (long answer encouraged)
I do not produce many pieces during the year. I mostly try different glazes and decoration and fire when I have a kiln full. I fire to cone 5 oxidation.
All our content is viewable by the public. Why do you want to be a member, when you can already see everything as a non-member?
Exchange of ideas with other potters firing cone 6 oxidation

Well this is pretty annoying... Just for laughs I compared a brand new K  thermocouple with the one in my kiln. The one in the kiln still has lots of metal fused at the junction so i figured that they would be pretty much the same.



SURPRISE! one read 34.6 mv and the other 36.4mv. So I thought i would try a third as a tie breaker... 33.9 mv.  The third one was just a wire probe rather than the beefy kiln probes. but it was a K. type

I change the slide show from time to time. Currently it is showing a random collection of 100 slides from the entire library of over 5000 photos. By mathematical odds, most of them will not be the latest posted. It does show photos that newer members are likely not to have seen.
