IS QUITE RUNNY BUT VISCOUS AT THE SAME TIME & WILL BEAD UP WHERE IT RUNS ONTO A KILN SHELF.
This is a berry bowl I made a long time ago...I used a ^04 glaze over a ^6 glaze ( in this case, it's glossy base 1 from Mastering ^6 with some zircopax and rutile in it) Anyway, the low fire green (and also the blue version) ran nicely on the ^6 glaze- a nice accent, but not off the pot..
The ^04 base glaze is from clayart:
Frit 3195 73
Flint 7
EPK 10
Mg Carb 10
probably 4% copper carb for green, about 2% cobalt carb for med. dark blue..
enjoy!

Hi, Ginny. I landed here via a search for runny glazes. I would like something like this for the rims of mugs and bowls. I have a lot of portions of low fire commercial glazes. I may try a couple of these just to do something with them. Did you try the recipe that George Lewter recommended? I would like to know how they turned out.
