Potters & Sculptors - Making Rock from Mud
One day when I was feeling square I made a squarish mug.
Had no idea of what decoration, or how it was to be glazed.
So I thought about taking a photo of the bisque piece and discover experimental designs using a simple drawing app on the computer. Apps like Paint Brush for Mac, or Microsoft Paint that comes with Windows will do.
Will choose one of the designs and use Mayco Coat & Stroke as underglaze on the #130 porcelain. Then glaze overall with John's clear, and fire to cone 6 . Previous test show this works well.
See attached.

Pauline,
Thanks for the comment.
As potters most of the time we work with mental images of what we've successfully done before with glazes. To try "what if?" experiments would take several pots probably not all would be satisfying. I like what you are doing electronically. It opens possibilities never available before. Thanks.

I like those handles. I will have to try some of those.
Scott,
Actually they are fairly comfortable if made to fire out about 3/8" thick. Give it a shot!

Thank you John.
I will remember that.
