Took several years to get up the nerve to glaze this one. One bad crawl on a pectoral fin and a structural crack in the base were the worst problems. Probably should have use a sculpture clay for this one, rather than Highwater Clay's Little Loafers.

Don't you just hate it when you made something with some clay you had available and it comes out so great except for the problems from using the wrong clay.  I made a 3'x5' wall fountain for my son and used a clay like Little Loafers,  every single big elephant ear tile  broke during the glaze firing.  The breaks were along leaf veins so I went ahead and used them.  It turned out great the broken leaves looked like they were wind torn just like they look in Kansas.   Denice
