You probably have this formula it's Reynolds Gold Metallic C6 4.00-Black Copper Oxide   2.50-Cobalt Carb.   36.50-Manganese dioxide    49.00-Red Art Clay      4.00-Ball Clay   4.00-Silica  I have only fired it in oxidation but will work in reduction also.  I couldn't find black copper oxide so I used green and I remember it taking a heavy coat.  Be careful with it because of the Manganese.   Denice

Thanks Denice
This glaze isn't cheap either. I have a few Laguna metallic glazes that weren't too pricey, but they are runny so I have only used them inside of fruit bowls. Would you be willing to share the recipe that you have? I am always game to try new glazes. The Aztec Gold is $16/pint and this jar took over a pint. That's what happens when you make things that big. I hope someone will buy it. Of you know anybody who wants a 30"+ covered jar, just let me know.

Very nice glaze, I have a formula for a glaze that is C6 that is very similar to your Western Aztec. I remember that it was very expensive to make so I only used it on small pieces.  Denice
