Potters & Sculptors - Making Rock from Mud

It's even larger than I thought, if it's a clear cone 6 glaze that doesn't craze or crackle I would appreciate the formula. I have mixed up dozens of clear glazes looking for those qualities, I have been making outdoor fountains and murals and need glazes that will hold up in freezing weather. Denice
Hi Denice: This is a cone 6 porcelain, Standard 551 VP. I threw it in 4 parts, lid (Bowl), collar (Cylindar bottomless), body (Cylindar bottomless) and foot (bowl). Bisque fired to 05, clear glaze made from a recipe I found on line (I don't have it in front of me, but can get it to you if you like). The piece is stacks 25" high and 14" dia. There is wire openings for electrical lighting, right now I'm using a christmas house light. I've used candles in the past, but the ceramic gets extremly hot. Thanks for noticing it. -
Beautiful detailed work, does this piece hold a candle in side and how many piece is it in? I can't really tell the size of it is looks large. More info please. Denice

As yet no one has tested and commented on the remarkably inexpensive air brushes at harbor freight.
The critter siphon gun is a spray alternative that is well liked by some of our members, and is available at amazon.

If you just want to spout off, it is best accomplished as a blog posting. If you want to get more guidance and ideas from other members, ask a question as a new discussion topic. In the upper right corner of the lists for both types of posting, you will find an "+Add " button. Clicking it will open an editor where you create your posting. 4/16/2014
