SO here are the test tiles.  The first pic is how they came out of the glaze firing.  The one on the left is 16 different iron reds.  The one on the right is 16 different reds with Coyote Tenmoku sprayed over.  The second pic is after being re-fired in a bisque.  They are more red, but less metallic.  They will all be sprayed with different percentages of wash & re-fired in a glaze firing & we will see how they come out.  jhp

So I loaded the 3 test pots & 4 test tiles in last night, but it was too hot still this morning to unload.  Couldn't even crack the lid.  Must have been the 1 hr. hold at 950c.  I sprayed one tile with the Coyote Tenmoku.  It & the 3 others will get put back in a bisque & then they will get sprayed with different percentages of the wash & re-fired back to ^6.  i will post pics.   jhp

The wash is just GB & Titanium.  I am still working out what percentage is best.  I re-fire to ^6 when I use the wash.  Usually the pot has been run in a ^04 bisque as well.  I have 3 more throw aways that just cam out of a bisque this morning.  They were all slightly more red than when they went in.  They will get sprayed with the wash & put back in to ^6 along with some test tiles.  I did 4 test tiles with the same 16 iron reds on them.  I will get sprayed with the new Coyote Tenmoku & the other 3 will go in the way they are.  After they come out they will each get different percentages of the GB/Titanium wash so I can see what percentage I like.  I will post pics.  jhp

Jeff I like your platter it reminds me watching the bathtub drain when I was a kid, I was fascinated with the drain swirl always wondered what it would feel like to suck in to it.   What kind of wash did you use and what cone did you refire to.   Denice
