Juli, sorry I added an "e" to your name :/ Habit.
Tina,
I tried your glaze on some shot glasses with a dark clay body and a bowl with a light clay body. Showed texture well on the light clay and a nice orange on the dark. Applied it straight from the 250 gram test batch. I will be making up a larger batch soon to see how it really works. Will have fun experimenting with it. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the info... Very nice..
Norm, what a great link! Thanks.
Thanks Norm. I had crawling and pin-holing on one piece which sat for years after bisque and before glazing it. I wondered if that had something to do with it. Now that you mention the issues in your studio I'm convinced it was too thickly applied. I remember spraying it on and it took way too long to dry. I should have washed it off and started over.
Truly beautiful. The Metallic Sky Blue, Ocean, and Green are among the most popular glazes at our studio.
Some have discovered that they can crawl when applied too thick, exposing sections of unglazed bisque. But that same characteristic makes for a beautiful break over ridges.
This is the link I saved with these glazes, from a Ti Phillips quoting from "Ceramics Today".
