Hi Troy. Looks good to me too. Will do a test soon on B-Mix 5 and Standard 112 and put up the results. I'm calling it "Troy's Green". Thanks.
Wes
I will share what I know about this glaze. I started with a base white glaze that I found in a CM 11-1989 on page 36. It says that it is cone 6-8 but I found that it can get pretty fluid at cone 6. I tested about 20 different oxide combinations and this is my favorite.
Dolomite 19.48
Gerstley Borate 12.99 the real stuff!
Kona F-4 38.96
Flint 28.57
Zinc Oxide 12.99
ADD
Titanium Dioxide 10 percent
Black Iron Oxide 2.5 percent
Copper Carbonate 5 percent
If any of you give it a try please let me see how it works out for you.
That is a really nice glaze.
Troy I just love a glaze that you can just fire no ramping up and down and it comes out perfect every time. Denice
Wow this is beautiful!!!! Is this your own recipe?
Yes, it's a cone 6 without any fancy holding or cooling cycle.
Oh wow. I love it. Very pretty. Is it a cone 6 glaze Troy?
