I'm a noob don't know what B Mix is. The G-Mix 6 is a cone 6 stoneware clay that I purchase from Georgies in Portland, OR. The only other clay I have used is a local earthware clay the guy who taught me what I know about pottery digs and uses in his studio. So, far I really like stoneware and the plasticity of the G-Mix 6 clay.
I'd love to learn more about the cutting tools that you are referring to. I used a broken long tweezers blade that I bent and filed into a hook shape with sharp edges to carve this. Have any photos or links regarding what works well for you?

Nice start, is G-Mix similar to B Mix, B Mix might be easier to cut. Nice sharp tools would help, I get some from the local ceramic store that has a set with different shapes and sizes a sixteenth to one quarter inch wide or they can be bought individually. Denice

Harbor Freight is a great place to find unbeatable prices for better HVLP spray guns with stainless steel parts and serviceable economy models, as well as detail guns, all tested by our members for spraying glazes, as well as compressors to power the guns. As yet no one has tested and commented on the remarkably inexpensive air brushes at harbor freight.
The critter siphon gun is a spray alternative that is well liked by some of our members, and is available at amazon.
