I work alone also. My pottery friends are only online friends. Look forward to seeing your pottery shelves.
You always learn something new from this group. I'll check the links and will be able to make the (pictures of) the next firing better, thanks for the feedback. It's better to be in conversation than alone.
I'm going to post photos of a newly built shelving unit or modify one that I have, Then upload the finished result. There will be several wooden niches to exhibit ceramics.

Both backgrounds look very good to me. I like the one above with the picture not as close. Being original is better than following the norm. (Not Norm Stuart), normal..

Or you can use bed sheets to help diffuse the light. It helps cameras record true color. You can also correct color in a program like Adobe Photoshop Elements. There's free programs online as well.

As yet no one has tested and commented on the remarkably inexpensive air brushes at harbor freight.
