I've played a little with the apricot. It tends to overwhelm the others.

Great! Let me know if you have a problem. I don't know what the firing schedule he has on the video. In his last workshop, Steven said he always tweaking things. So I have his most recent schedule.

Thanks Cyndy,

I have the video, so I'll check it out for the recipe.

Steven Hill's recipe for red/orange. If you dip it, it is a gloss. But if you spray it, it will be a matte. I use highly purified red iron oxide.

Cyndy, What red/orange glaze are you using?

Comment by Cyndy Littleton on November 5, 2014 at 11:14am

A slow cool down really helps to bring the orange/red out. I have been pursuing the lavender effect between the water color blue, Hannah's fake ash, and red/orange glaze. This is the first time I was able to get some of it expressed. I was very pleased. Thank you.

When you figure out that pot of yours, please share. As you can see, many of us love it.

These pots look great!  Wish I knew how to get oranges like yours!
