I am not exactly young I am 63 and somewhat of a perfectionist.  But I have learned from these observations that I shouldn't throw away pots that aren't quite perfect there is a market for them.  A potter doesn't need to make imperfect work, that happens on it own.  Us perfectionist can happily keep working the way we want.  Denice

In addition: item 160224 was a disaster! But I am not afraid to show it because a negative result is a result as well - to learn from.

Ah! This goes against my feelings on how pottery should be made. I know that nowadays it is fashionable not to go for perfection. I am an old man so, somewhat conservative ( in the positive sense I hope). The excuse to make sloppy work because it is fashionable, is something I don't accept. Our ancestor-potters turn in their graves...

When I opened the kiln I was disappointed when I saw the spills...

I didn't think you did it on purpose, but like me I have found that  a lot of people like a small imperfection in a pot.  I had noticed that people seem to gravitate towards the piece with a blemish on it especially if it has a texture to it.  They pick it and and rub the spot, so I asked someone why they like the one with the blemish.  She said the blemish made it feel more homemade not so perfect.    Denice

Thanks, but the intention was not to have spills...

Your mugs look like they would be very comfortable to use.  I like the way the blue spills over the edge into the white liner.    Denice
