    Thanks for all the info. I will share photos when I get started on the new processes. I have 2 more shows to do this fall and then I plan to spend winter trying out all kinds of different techniques. One new thing I am playing with is Amaco's velvet underglazes and Opalecences. Beautiful! Not cone 6 but stunning results none the less.
    I miss the coast, I grew up in that area and am land locked in Ohio.

    That's a good idea also. I wonder if the underglaze produces same effects with opalescence glaze if it has been pre-fired? Or does they need to do some chemistry related magical kiln dance with each other?
    I called Amaco to see if LUGs produced same effects as Velvets in this lowfire combo as well as at cone 5.I have not heard back. They show the Velvets at cone 5 and 10 but not LUGs. I am hoping they do as they are significantly less expensive in pint jars. I would like to be able to use them in several applications, low and cone six. I will pass on if I hear they perform as well as Velvets at Mid and High. Or if they don't.
