Profile Information:

What is your experience with ceramics in general. (Long answer encouraged)
I love coffee. I drank it a lot in college to keep awake and my mug was my best friend. This moved around to a love for all things ceramic. I bought a pot from a guy at the beach and bought a book from a store there and read it front to back 3-4 times. I took a 6-week course and the teacher told us not to expect to start a studio after that course. I did.
What is your current involvement with electric fired ceramics? (long answer encouraged)
I am a family practice doc with a pottery love since 1995 as a hobby. Here to rub elbows and learn a bit, just a bit....hoping to make your acquaintance.

a few glazes, a few pot pix, a few pages to turn, a few friends to share, a few hours to burn.... not much.

Have 3 RIOs tests in C Harris Temoku base on tiles ready to go in my next glaze fire. Will post pix when they come out.

    CP,

It depends on the bowl. On a shallow bowl I keep the glazes to a minimum (2-3) and allow the ash glaze to run it's course. On a deep bowl, I like to continue the same layers as the interior which can be as many as 6.
