What is your experience with ceramics in general. (Long answer encouraged)
I bought a slab roller and my Cress kiln about 15 years ago in order to make my own tiles for mosaic work. I built up knowledge through classes and a lot of self teaching...making mistakes and solving problems in less convential ways. After a few years and a bunch of successful installations I taught some classes in tile design and mosaic.

I also was involved with the building trades so many other materials and mediums were incorporated in my design work. Eventually I became more of a designer and less of a maker...until recently. I am happiest making and fill my time between design jobs reconnecting with my love for clay. I've even been experimenting with porcelain clay...I'm very humbled by it, but by working on small minimalist pieces I've improved my technical skills and have fallen in love with it.
What is your current involvement with electric fired ceramics? (long answer encouraged)
I am hoping to open an Etsy store soon (and update my website). I've been showing my work at a few local holiday gift shows and so far I'm encouraged to continue my experimentation in porcelain.

I'm falling in love with porcelain clay (albeit humbled). As I continue my exploration I seem to have more questions than answers. Joining a forum like this is just what I need. Also, because I was not formally trained in ceramics I often have unconventional ways to approach my work... perhaps some of my mistakes, techniques or shortcuts would be useful to others too.
