I love the horsehair pots.  Well done!

May I ask what cone do you use to bisque your horsehair pots?  I don't have a raku kiln yet but am hoping to get one this spring.  I have an electric kiln and a downdraft barrel kiln.  I can't figure out how to heat the pots for horsehair without a raku kiln. I think they need to be about 900 C for the hair to burn properly.  I am not brave enough to pull them from the electric kiln at that temperature.  Any suggestions?

I was hoping it was you!  Are making any plans to go to workshops this year?  There is a nice new teaching facility in Asheville around the corner from Odessey, The Village Potters, with lots offered.  I am going to a weekend dempo with Haynes Bayless in Myrtle Beach 1st weekend in March and then to Asheville for a weekend with Barbara Knudson the end of March.  Arrowmont isn't offering anything that tempts me..  You went to Italy, didn't you?  How was it, sounded amazing.  Love to see you somewhere.
