I love the way it works for me as a base glaze, and it's OK as a semi-matte liner.  I just mixed up an 8000 gram batch, so I will be using it for a while.

What is it about my pots, that makes you say I should be using something different?

Hi Randy.  I am trying to order the Special Red from uS Pigment but there is nothing there with that particular name.  I asked for it by this name and they put in Fe203-HP.  I have tried Spanish RIO, synthetic and regular RIO.  When I first started using your recipe I got a beautiful red - now it is muddy brown as others have noted.  I read something about Texas talc making the glaze brown...  Thanks for your input.

Randy - Lakeside Pottery uses each new glaze for three years at their studio only, after which they publish the recipe for others to us.  I've found them helpful.

    Lakeside Pottery - Antique White

Antique White cone 6 glaze with brown breaks

Marina Reijsmeijer and myself are listed as "owners", more properly "curators", of hundreds of glazes merely because we spent a lot of hours over several weeks correcting spelling errors in glazes uploaded from the Sankey Datatbase and other sources.  But Antique White is not currently in the Insight-Live database.

White Bird is in the Insight-Live database is likely the closest match to Antique White.

I've revised it with an extra 10% Ferro Frit 3269 to use with our slow-cooling schedule
