I bought a wheel Potter Shimpo RK-3E. O Wheelhead não tem bat pin holes

Hello. I have the same wheel.  I throw a clay pad to stick wooden bats to the wheel head (no pins) and this works very well.

I bought a wooden bat with holes and used it as a template to drill holes in the wheelhead. My pottery supply store sells those bats and bat pins (Keramikos, Holland). 

To avoid drilling holes in another wheel I also made some crude bats out of ply wood, slightly larger than the wheelhead that I attach with (plastic) corks (photo, up side down view). I just press this on top of the wheel head. Surprisingly they work fine. But of course Rose's way is also good.
