Handle With Care Workshop: Eric Botbyl, Matt Schiemann, Todd Pletcher

This past summer I had the opportunity to attend the Handle with Care Workshop featuring three top notch potters. It took place just down the road in Goshen on June 24th and 25th. Though it happened 6 months ago, I still recall many of the tips, techniques and conversations from this workshop. Featured Potters Todd Pletcher […]

2016 Michiana Pottery Tour

I returned to the Northern Indiana Pottery Supply stop on the Michiana Pottery Tour this year. It was my third year as part of the tour (2014, 2015). Our lineup had some familiar faces, some relatively new potters and some old pros from around the country. I set up next to David Gamber who hauled his pots all […]

2016 Middlebury Fall Festival

Cups from the First Half (of 2016)

Here is a selection of cups from early 2016. Let’s start small: Here are a couple cups that were faceted and textured on the pottery wheel. In the style of On-Wheel Alteration Master, Dick Lehman. I also started experimenting with a little texture. Some interesting results but still needs some more work. I hope to add some […]

What is your experience with ceramics in general. (Long answer encouraged)
amateur
What is your current involvement with electric fired ceramics? (long answer encouraged)
I spend as much of my spare time as possible in my little clay studio. I'm becoming proficient at wheel throwing and I fire my work in an electric kiln in my garage.
All our content is viewable by the public. Why do you want to be a member, when you can already see everything as a non-member?
I'd like to learn from more experienced potters. I'm particularly interested in learning about glazes, how to run a business and meeting new people.
Where do you work on your ceramics projects?
