- What is your experience with ceramics in general. (Long answer encouraged)
- been throwing and hand-building for decades, while working full time. productivity low but desire high. have work in several local galleries and the pottery is now self-supporting. i am a "functional" potter whose handbuilt pieces sre arty enough. just for fun...i am going to a workshop with Simon Leach this weekend. Can't wait.
- What is your current involvement with electric fired ceramics? (long answer encouraged)
- I was in a guild for years and cone 10 gas firing. can never beat, however the cone 5-6 glazes for stoneware are becoming amazing. they are breaking just like u would want them to.
- All our content is viewable by the public. Why do you want to be a member, when you can already see everything as a non-member?
- I ran across this site totally by accident and within about 15 minutes of reading the discussion forum re: online sales i thought i need to apply for this site. i can learn here. they may notall agree but they all have valid points. I am an information gatherer.

Thank you for accepting me into your group. I hope to be an asset. I will try to update you over the weekend about my adventures with Simon Leach and his workshop.....from the mountains in PA. It should be interesting.

Harbor Freight is a great place to find unbeatable prices for better HVLP spray guns with stainless steel parts and serviceable economy models, as well as detail guns, all tested by our members for spraying glazes, as well as compressors to power the guns. As yet no one has tested and commented on the remarkably inexpensive air brushes at harbor freight.
The critter siphon gun is a spray alternative that is well liked by some of our members, and is available at amazon.
Amazon is also a competitive source for photo light tents for shooting professional quality pictures of your work. They also have the EZ Cube brand favored by several of our members. You might also want to purchase the book Photographing Arts, Crafts and Collectibles . . .

ebay is a great alternative for many tools and the equipment used in the ceramics studio - kilns, wheels, extruders, slab rollers are often listed there both new and used.
