- What is your experience with ceramics in general. (Long answer encouraged)
- I am a beginner AGAIN (6 months). I did a little throwing about 40 years ago but life got in the way. I like to hand-built mostly but have just started to throw a few items, most ending badly. But the good part is, I don't care. I have the time and am enjoying it. And I learn from every mistake. I took a one week course this summer at John C Campbell folk school in Murphy, NC.

- What is your current involvement with electric fired ceramics? (long answer encouraged)
- I am using a Skutt kiln and wheel, and a Bailey slab roller. I don't have an extruder yet but would like to get one. I'm not sure I would use it enough to justify the cost. I would also like to have a pug mill because I hate wasting clay. But of course I can buy a lot of clay for what they cost.
- All our content is viewable by the public. Why do you want to be a member, when you can already see everything as a non-member?
- There are so many aspects I want to learn. At my age, 74, I need to cram as much knowledge into my brain as possible before it turns into mush.
I like having places where I might be able to get answers to specific questions.

Harbor Freight is a great place to find unbeatable prices for better HVLP spray guns with stainless steel parts and serviceable economy models, as well as detail guns, all tested by our members for spraying glazes, as well as compressors to power the guns. As yet no one has tested and commented on the remarkably inexpensive air brushes at harbor freight.
The critter siphon gun is a spray alternative that is well liked by some of our members, and is available at amazon.
Amazon is also a competitive source for photo light tents for shooting professional quality pictures of your work. They also have the EZ Cube brand favored by several of our members. You might also want to purchase the book Photographing Arts, Crafts and Collectibles . . .
If you are up to creating videos of your work or techniques you might want to invest in a flip video camera

ebay is a great alternative for many tools and the equipment used in the ceramics studio - kilns, wheels, extruders, slab rollers are often listed there both new and used.
