I have been making pottery for 25 years when
we bought a farm in West Virginia and I was able to build a gas kiln. Using free gas from a gas well on my property. It is a common feature in this state all my potter friends have free gas
- What is your current involvement with electric fired ceramics? (long answer encouraged)
- When my husband died, he fired my gas kiln. I decided to go electric and bought a Skutt
KilnMaster Automatic kiln so I could use the slow cooling in the ramp/hold mode.
- All our content is viewable by the public. Why do you want to be a member, when you can already see everything as a non-member?
- I make all my glazes so I am starting from the begining again after firing in reduction for years.And being a member has been a big help to me it seems as if lots of potters are now firing to cone 6 electric

Harbor Freight is a great place to find unbeatable prices for better HVLP spray guns with stainless steel parts and serviceable economy models, as well as detail guns, all tested by our members for spraying glazes, as well as compressors to power the guns. As yet no one has tested and commented on the remarkably inexpensive air brushes at harbor freight.
The critter siphon gun is a spray alternative that is well liked by some of our members, and is available at amazon.

ebay is a great alternative for many tools and the equipment used in the ceramics studio - kilns, wheels, extruders, slab rollers are often listed there both new and used.
