Great to hear from you Louis! The Internal glaze is Soft White an old standby I have used and loved for 15 years! The crackle glazes I do use on the exteriors. The glass is used in decorative pieces and I have never had a problem with breakage. I have purchased a dry mix snowflake glaze

cone 6 ....have not used it yet??? I'll let you know how it goes. Cathe

Hi Catherine...long time.  Couple questions:  Have you tried the fractile glazes?...i've been wanting to make a 'cracked ice glaze' , but haven't gotten around to it.  When putting the glass in you work, have you had a piece break (due to differances in expansion/contraction)?  How durable is the work with glass?  Any chipping orr of the glass?  I assume pieces with glass are decorative only.  In regards to the crazing glazes you use on the cups...I'm guessing the white is interior for safety/durability and the crackle is external?

Hope this finds you well....Louis

Thanks, you get it right with your colours.  Lets hope my choice of glaze will work as well as yours.

Denise , I do not mix my own glazes....I used  Laguna Catalina crackle, Soft white, in the above piece. I even use broken window glass if I feel the glazes will not mesh.. I pour them quite thick, sometimes they do not flow .cant remember if it was done here??? I often times throw stained glass pieces in left over from windows I have done in the past.   I am anxious to try the new celedons from  e.coleman...these look like they would be a great addition ! Good luck!

Catherine, I am always in awe of your work.  In the above, I particularly like the glaze on the inside of the tray.  Could you tell me what it is?  I want to simulate water in my current work (both blue & green) and  I need it to be transparent as there is texture on my pieces.  I would greatly appreciate the recipe if possible.  Denise
