Thank you so much Kathy.  I really want to try this.

The Brian Ransom I know is quite the mentor to a few local potters   http://www.paulchenoweth.com/?tag=brian-ransom    here is a blurb of his work.  I happen to live in Mendocino California and there is a thriving ceramic community here.  We work together on a lot of projects>   A wood kiln at Flynn Creek Pottery is usually fired three of four time a year with thirty to forty participants, http://www.flynncreekpottery.com/   I love the way ceramicists can work together!

Wow, this is why we share our glaze recipes and I'll take the blame anyday! The recipe is here Christopher http://cone6pots.ning.com/group/insight-live-users-group/forum/topi... If we can post the results on Insight it'll all be in one place and you never know where some of these glazes can take us.  I do have a brother-in-law Bruce in Ontario but it's Ransom without the e.  BTW I love the name sunburnt froggy!

Hi Christopher-the Frogskin is here in the Insite database, but u will have to buy the Magic from The Ceramic Shop. The Magic is the one that turns all orangey-peach. I am going to play around a little with the Frogskin recipe. I will post any results. Jeff

Hi Christopher,

That I do not know, but she is on this forum, so you can ask her.  I'm just teasing her when I say it is all her fault.  It's just `cause she put this wonderful glaze on the forum & of course, I had to play with it & I ain't done yet!

Very Nice!! She can mess up my stuff any day!  Is she any relationship to Brian Ransome?

Believe it or not, this is all Kathy Ransom's fault.  This is the pot I posted a little earlier.  It was her Frogskin over Magic with a little APS Tenmoku on the top & neck, then I took it & re-fired it in a slow bisque with a slow cool.  Who'd a thunk!?!
