This is 10 miles north west of Lansing, Michigan. I have 9 pieces in it. Will retrieve them next Sunday. The temperature rise portion of the firing ran 50 hours with round-the-clock crews of five people doing 6 hour shifts. It is a real community event.

Where were you for this firing. Did you have some work involved?

At 2,100 degrees F, pine wood bursts into flame in less time than you can push the whole stick into the kiln (maybe 1/4 of a second). I have a new appreciation of why firemen always say that you can't believe how fast a fire can engulf a whole house or other structure.

Harbor Freight is a great place to find unbeatable prices for better HVLP spray guns with stainless steel parts and serviceable economy models, as well as detail guns, all tested by our members for spraying glazes, as well as compressors to power the guns. As yet no one has tested and commented on the remarkably inexpensive air brushes at harbor freight.
The critter siphon gun is a spray alternative that is well liked by some of our members, and is available at amazon.
