Hand built porcelain beakers. the white ones have embossed inlay and the green ones are emossed and copper carbonate wash is brushed on then sponged back befor bisque firing. clear glaze to cone 6

Hi Rose. No sorry, I can't think of any NZ potters atm, but I guess you would find some on the net to visit that will fit in with your travel plans. I am like you and make the most of any opportunity to seek out others potters on my travels. Looking forward to seeing your new cups and saucers. I found an old oil can in our garage this week. Always had a facination with their various shapes, spouts etc (which also explains my other love of teapots lol), I just love old objects too, so making a series of them from clay. Also been interested in 'seedpods' and making a series of handbuilt forms with that in mind. Not enough hours in a week.

Thanks Jan! I'm really enjoying the tactile(ness) of the hand built pocelain, just wait till you see the new cup and saucers I'm working on this week I think youll love them. PS did you think of any New Zealand potters?
