Sarah: yes I'm currently spraying at least the exteriors of all my pots, but you should be able to get the same kind of network rivulets dipping the fake ash glazes. Lapping over other glazes is where the dipped look will differ. Try dipping deep lapping 1/4 over of any base glazes at the bottom of your piece and immediately start withdrawing from the bucket slowing down as you near the rim so the fake ash glaze varies from very thin to quite thick at the rim.

Try using the same technique when dipping the base glazes so you don't get a thick, hard, glaze edge at the top where the fake ash is going to overlap.
