Hi Thomas - I really like what is happening where the two glazes interface. Is the Ash Glaze made with ash or is it a 'fake ash' glaze - I'm assuming the first. I haven't done any real ash glaze testing yet, but a friend passed me along a jar of apple wood ash, and I burn a lot of wood to heat my house as well, so I think it's time to get testing. If you are using real ash do you slake it down first with water then dry it out or do you just sieve it?
By the way, I totally respect your right to keep your recipes to yourself if you so wish - a lot of the recipes that are being shared here are ones that have been passed around and gleaned from other sources. It is a lot of work to go through the process of formulating and testing from scratch and more of us should be doing it. There are no requirements to share here and any sharing is optional.

Harbor Freight is a great place to find unbeatable prices for better HVLP spray guns with stainless steel parts and serviceable economy models, as well as detail guns, all tested by our members for spraying glazes, as well as compressors to power the guns. As yet no one has tested and commented on the remarkably inexpensive air brushes at harbor freight.
The critter siphon gun is a spray alternative that is well liked by some of our members, and is available at amazon.
