Thanks Miri. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge. I am very excited to try these glazes myself. My kiln is broken at the moment and hoping to have it fixed within the next week. I have mixed all my glazes and made a heap of test rings, so i am desperate to start and see what happens. I have a manual kiln, so a little nervous that i won't get the same results as those with controllers who can set a recommended firing schedule...

Thanks for the compliments.  I always glaze by dipping.  This was dipped half in the black (once), then half (overlapping over the black) in the red (once).

Hi Miri. I can see that this is dipped on one side, but can i ask please, do you generally always dip your glazes or do you also spray? Also, how many times would you dip the piece to achieve this result. Thanks. Very Nice!

No problems! :-)  I do sooooo much experimentation with my glazes.  Glaze thickness is but one variable but BOY is it important.

The left side of the bowl is the raspberry on its own.  The overlap with LB is only in the middle.  Perhaps your glaze is thinner than my application?

Do you think it's because the raspberry is over the black that it's such a pretty red?  Are you getting this color on the B-mix alone?

Very nice clean look!  What color clay body are you using?  My raspberry looks pink on most everything I have tried it on.

The red is Raspberry, also in the book.
