Anthony, I am using the following schedule: 300 to 1600, 100 to 2232, hold one hour, then drop 300 to 1700, then turn off. This just gets me to a ^8. Here is the Blue Matt recipe:

Opaque Blue Matt w Strontium ^10
Strontium Carb 31.9
Nepheline Syenite 53.1
Tenn Ball Clay 6.7
Silica 8.3

Add:
Copper Carb 4
Bentonite 1

I am spraying fairly thin, however, I have not taken a measurement so cannot quantify that. The Blue Ash is Hannah's from Steven Hill's recipes. This pot also has an awesome interior that works well in electric. It is Penland Red-Orange applied very thickly. My next experiment is to see if I can get it to work on the outside as well as it works on the inside. Spraying the Penland does not allow for a thick enough coating and it turns a flat looking brown. Oh, by the way on this Opaque Blue, it runs like crazy so leave it light at the base and if you dip the pot, just dip the upper 1/2 or so. It's a very pretty glaze by itself, even without the SCM under it.

I would love the recipe for both, but especially the blue matt as I have a couple pretty good recipes for fake blue ash (Hannah's and Steven Hill). Looks like the matt glaze is sprayed fairly thin - maybe 1 to 1.5 mm. Does that sound about right? Also, are you doing a slow cool down? My SCM schedule is currently a cone 8+ with peak temp of 2220 and an hour hold, then 150/hr down to 1700. I'm pretty sure my thermocouple is a little off so it's probably more like a peak of 2250 or a little higher.

Thanks very much! This is an opaque blue matt glaze and blue ash on the rim. If you want any recipes, just let me know.

Very nice. Definitely 5 stars. What's the glaze? Something over SCM white?
