The first winter I had it I brought it into the house since my kiln is in just sort of a shed. My daughter was at the age where she liked to play with gadgets and she adjusted the high and low settings on the gas valve. The next spring I couldn't get it to go into redu tion. Now that the weather has warmed up I should try and fiddle with it and do some post reduction. It's a great little tool and it was fun to use. I know Terry has had some health problems and those of us on the Crystalline Glaze Forum have been trying not to bug him. I am hoping he can eventually get back I to things. He has a brilliant mind. jhp

I am interested in your thoughts on the fallonator. What went wrong with it?

Thanks Troy
It's a vein I have been exploring and there are still lots of directions to go. I am hoping to get my Fallonator back up and running this summer to see what will happen if I hit these combos with a little post reduction. jhp

That's very nice!

Thank you.,  I really like the effect it gives, I will have to try to mix some glazes myself someday. I have only used commercial glazes.

Hi Robert
Yes this is ^5 oxidation. I do fire on silicon carbide shelves but they have fired quite a number of times so I don't think they are adding any reduction effect to it. I think of is just the layering combo. I have been able to replace 2 of the 3 with glazes I mix myself but have had problems finding a replacement for the last one so that I can mix them all myself as opposed to buying them. Freight from England is a killer! jhp
