George,
I started doing this the last of March, First part of April. I gleaned a lot of information from this website as well as Steven Hill's. I was lucky enough to find his firing schedule posted in an Oregon Potters Association Newsletter from last February. The closest I got to Steven Hill was a slide presentation he and Matt Long made at Allen Hancock College in Santa Maria, CA in the early 2000's. He was doing just the cone 10 work at that time. Since I was firing cone 6 electric, I just kind of blew him off. Things change and so did I! I need to use this website more and participate more often. I see it as a very valuable learning and resource tool. Thanks for putting it up!
I'm always glad to share what information I have. I want others to see the results I get and have an idea of the combinations I use. That's how we learn. I think Steven Hill is very generous with his knowledge and techniques and I'm certainly thankful for that as well as the many others who share their knowledge and ideas selflessly.

Harbor Freight is a great place to find unbeatable prices for better HVLP spray guns with stainless steel parts and serviceable economy models, as well as detail guns, all tested by our members for spraying glazes, as well as compressors to power the guns. As yet no one has tested and commented on the remarkably inexpensive air brushes at harbor freight.
The critter siphon gun is a spray alternative that is well liked by some of our members, and is available at amazon.
Amazon is also a competitive source for photo light tents for shooting professional quality pictures of your work. They also have the EZ Cube brand favored by several of our members. You might also want to purchase the book Photographing Arts, Crafts and Collectibles . . .

If you just want to spout off, it is best accomplished as a blog posting. If you want to get more guidance and ideas from other members, ask a question as a new discussion topic. In the upper right corner of the lists for both types of posting, you will find an "+Add " button. Clicking it will open an editor where you create your posting. 4/16/2014
