hi,

recipes for glazes which you have asked for..

For Green, molten  grey green and clear coat with slip decoration.

Base glaze (transparent gloss):

gerstly borate frit  26

soda feldspar        48

china clay             6

silica                    20

For green  add chrome oxide 5%

for grey green add Red iron oxide 2%

                            Rutile             5%

recipe for first white glaze near to green one (satin finish):

gerstly borate frit  21

soda feldspar         16

china clay              11

whiting                  20

silica                      32

recipe for another white glaze ( which again didnt come out properly):

gerstly borate frit   50

china clay               15

silica                      35

Hi brian,

i will try to answer all your questions one by one.

those textured metallic tiles are not silicon carbide glaze. it is not properly melted or over fired i dont know, so it is in bubbling stage. if you know anything about it like why this thing happens let me know.

those two white ones are with zinc oxide i will write you the recipes by evening.

green one is with chrome 5% in base glaze. ( recipe i will post it in the evening )

rutile is the magical secret ingredient for all my molten glazes. whenever i find any glaze little dull i add 5% rutile in it and it becomes live :) ( i have just entered in ceramic world so till now whatever i have done in that it has worked for me :P )

brown with lines is just clear base glaze coat on slip decoration. ( slip is made up of ball clay and  5% red iron oxide ) i generally use this slip for writing down the recipe number at the bottom of the test tile. no no it is not carved it is just pained with brush first and then dipped in to clear glaze.
