MJ, (those are my initials also)  I use many of the MC6 glazes, I'de be happy to work with you on those.  Right now, sea foam green is my fav, but I've used lots of them.

I will ask our event organizer to send him an email.  I am sure he won't remember me but likely will remember her, so that is easier.  I think earlier the word was that he was still testing, and he was going to write an article.  I am not in any major rush as I am busy testing MC6G at the moment.  Much to keep busy.  Yes, his glazes are a great look.

Have you thought about e-mailing SH to ask if they have changed since he was doing ^8? I seem to think he said they had not, but I could certainly be wrong. Isn't there someone on this board who says they are his studio assistant, and that the ^6 pots look great, and now he is ^6 all the way? If you could find that person, maybe that would provide the answer. This board is new to me, and I keep losing posts and getting all the diff thread locations mixed up.
Unlike you, I have been doing ^6 all along and looking for a 'softer' look, SH's ^6 work certainly has that, so I am excited about this.

Hi - thanks for the comment.  This is actually a cone 10 reduction pot.  The black is called black pearl.  I attended SH workshop last spring when he was still doing cone 8.  I am hoping he sends along the recipes to prior participants.  I only wound up doing one firing to ocne 8 and it came out pretty good as far as looks were concerned.  But, the pots with b-mix seemed to not be entirely water tight (probably because the clay is intended for cone 10) and the porcelain pots did seem work fine.  Cheers, MJ

I am admiring the black foot on this. Is it Steven's Frost black? We used that at the workshop I went to, but he has asked that people don't post his recipes on line because he thinks it isn;t fair to people who went to workshops.. Also I think he is planning to do a book later with recipes in it. I am so grateful that he shared this info at the workshop, I don't want to take advantage.
