CUTEsies!
Miniature clay forms speak to us.
Like anything small, they beg to be noticed and admired.
“CUTEsies” are made from earthenware, stoneware or Raku clay and end up being artistic interpretations of aromatherapy vessels, weed pots, scent bottles, embellishing pitchers, incense holders, shakers or wildflower vases. They are formed by individually easing two circles of clay over the outside of bowls which gradually decrease in size. When the two circles of clay become half round bowl shapes themselves, they are joined together at the rim enclosing the air within which makes further shaping and finishing possible. Some forms end up with intricate daubers which extend way down into their bodies while others, intended to hold incense sticks, aromatherapy reeds or herb cuttings, are finished with various straw-size openings. All get extreme attention to detail which is one of the things which makes them so darn CUTE!

Barbara, what a magnificent collection! The textures, the breaking glazes, the assembly details are all top shelf. I especially likes the leaf sprigs you used at the joint between spout and body.

As yet no one has tested and commented on the remarkably inexpensive air brushes at harbor freight.
The critter siphon gun is a spray alternative that is well liked by some of our members, and is available at amazon.
