Thanks, Steven, I remember that article.  I have used SCM under amber with similar results.  I will post the pictures tomorrow.  I love the way the amber glaze goes to blue where it's thick.  I am using the Steven Hill firing schedule and it seems to work very well for crystal formation.

I'll point you in the right direction... this glaze came from a ceramic arts daily article they had a little while ago, "Traditional Cone 10 Glazes Make the Leap to Cone 6", this glaze started as Straw Glaze. Of course, like any glaze you'll have to find a good firing cycle, application, and adjust the glaze to your liking.

Can you tell us the name of the base glaze?

No SCM, none of my glazes are taken from or derived from any S. Hill glazes. The green/blue glaze is just one glaze that turns blue when it is thicker and is the same base glaze as the yellow, both forming lots of crystals under a clear surface. thanks for the compliments!

Is this SCM under Amber?  I really like the clean look of your pieces.  Beautiful crystallization on the handles of this bowl and the pop of blue in the middle is beautiful.
