NEW HOME, NEW ADDRESS

Big changes are coming to our home on the web!

Cone6Pots is moving from the Ning platform to Wordpress.

Our address is changing, too.  Our new, short address will be:

cone6pots.org

We expect this move will result in a better social networking experience for our members.

Our ning site was remarkably stable, but very restrictive in terms of development. You can expect much greater social integration, better connections between members, and with the outside world.

Look for the new network in early July. Current members will be automatically migrated to the new network, and will receive a "We're Live!" email with their new UserID and password.

OUR MOST IMPORTANT SUPPORTING MEMBERSHIP DRIVE EVER

We had no fundraiser event in 2015. Still enough of you made supporting member payments to cover our costs.

This year things are much different. In addition to our normal annual costs of around $500, we have a one-time charge of $2400 for the network migration and data conversion. That will make operating expenses nearly $3000 for the year.

If you haven't already made a supporting member payment in the last nine months to a year. Please consider giving now. Your $9  payments add up quickly. This year, that payment will help make the cone6pots network more relevant and responsive to your needs.

SHARING IS CARING

This discussion about warm glass is a good example of how information is exchanged on the network.

Members offer suggestions, advice, and the benefits of their experience freely.

It’s like having a studio full of others to bounce ideas off of.

HARD WORK PAYS OFF

Spraying glazes on pots can be a lot of work.

Member Joseph Fireborn proves hard work pays off

with his series of pots featuring sprayed glazes.

His results are exceptional.

(This month’s header image is a detail shot of one of his yunomi cups.)

If you have comments or complaints about the newsletter,

or if you’d like to include something in an upcoming issue,

please message Erik through the network.

Feedback is always welcome.

You are receiving this email because you are a member of Cone6Pots.

Thank you.

Tips for Members

If you just want to spout off, it is best accomplished as a blog posting. If you want to get more guidance and ideas from other members, ask a question as a new discussion topic. In the upper right corner of the lists for both types of posting, you will find an "+Add " button. Clicking it will open an editor where you create your posting. 4/16/2014
