MOVING FORWARD

The Cone6Pots Network is migrating to a new, more customizable, more social, more modern platform. We'll be cone6pots.org.

The migration has been moving forward more slowly than anticipated. All but our latest content has been loaded into its new template. The migration team is now involved in the look and feel aspects of the design, and checking the way the different modules work together. A semi-functional preview was posted on the developer's server last night, and several members have been invited to view and comment. The new main page will look pretty familiar, but many features will have new looks, and will work a little differently.

Contact George Lewter if you would like to preview the new site, as it nears going live.

THE ANNUAL FUNDRAISER IS OVER – THANK YOU!

The Annual Summer Supporting Membership Fundraiser began in June and lasted two months instead of the normal one month, due to the cost of migration to Wordpress. Details of amounts raised will be forthcoming as they are assembled. A big THANK YOU to all who contributed.

Let your conscience be your guide...

ALASKA “CLAYCATION” 2017 – AN UPDATE

(CLAY WORKSHOP + VACATION = CLAYCATION! Get the details here.)

Things are coming together for this unique experience on Alaska's Kenai peninsula. There are 13 of 20 spaces remaining. Please join us in Kasilof, Alaska, August 15-22, 2017

Our event page with its rsvp capability lets us know who wants to participate, but only by paying a 50% deposit ($175 per person, payable to the Alaska Gallery Lodge – phone 907-229-2999) do you actually make, confirm, and hold your registration. The date of payment also establishes priority for room selections.

Seattle travel agent, Sharon Emerson, has been brought on board to help our participants make travel arrangements and book tours and excursions during the trip. She is well travelled in Alaska, and familiar with the details of our retreat. She wants everyone to know that cruises and hotels fill up early for the peak summer travel season, so many of your best choices will be gone by January. Now is the best time to make your plans and book your trip. Though Ms. Emerson is available to everyone, folks are free to plan and book their own trips, or use agents of their choosing.

WORDS OF WISDOM

“I do simple liners mostly only to provide enough income stream to pay for my obsessive experimentation habits.”

Tips for Members

If you just want to spout off, it is best accomplished as a blog posting. If you want to get more guidance and ideas from other members, ask a question as a new discussion topic. In the upper right corner of the lists for both types of posting, you will find an "+Add " button. Clicking it will open an editor where you create your posting. 4/16/2014
