I have worked in a number of different clays, however the small ovoid is from a nice batch of Porcelain that I had access to while in my last university class.
I have done items in a pink Los Altos, B mix, Half & half, Indian Red (a cone 06 low fire clay), porcelain, a very smooth chocolaty looking sculpture clay, and various mixtures of all the above.
Hi Rita, I found out what the chocolaty clay is - it's ^5 Brown, from Laguna. I plan on picking up a box while on vacation in San Diego this month. That will be my return luggage weight. I also managed to get some of the Hagi Porcelain that the University class was using. Those two together make some great agateware pieces. I want to wait until I get my own wheel though, before I break out those two...
