Profile Information:

What is your experience with ceramics in general. (Long answer encouraged)
I started taking community classes in Atlanta, GA in 1995, studied Ceramics at Yavapai College from 2001-2004, taught wheel-throwing to children and adults for three years in New Mexico. Currently living in Philadelphia where I teach wheel and hand building at Center in the Park Community and Senior Center. I have a home studio and sell my work through Etsy, at shows and occasionally through galleries and gift shops. I fire in an electric kiln to cone 6. In my classes, I work and fire to low fire temps (cone 05).
What is your current involvement with electric fired ceramics? (long answer encouraged)
I fire almost all my work in a digital Paragon electric kiln, which is the same kiln used in the classes I teach. I have fired in a Skutt 1218, which I loved.
All our content is viewable by the public. Why do you want to be a member, when you can already see everything as a non-member?
I am trying to build my pottery business and network with other ceramic artists on the web. My aim is to broaden my experience, learn what other potters are doing, how they are meeting challenges, discoveries they have made, etc. And to be able to share with other ceramic artists those things that I have learned through my own experiences. In general, I want to be a part of the larger ceramic community.
