Profile Information:

What is your experience with ceramics in general. (Long answer encouraged)
Pottery artist since 2003. I have studied with many potters and potteries and am enrolled at Long Island University CW Post on scholarship to realize my lifelong dream of attaining my fine arts degree. I am adept at wheel and hand building, enjoy raku and attended some workshops and schools on Long Island, New York as well as obvara and raku at La Meridiana in Tuscany, Italy. With much personal research I've learned to follow glaze recipes and tweak them to fit my needs.
What is your current involvement with electric fired ceramics? (long answer encouraged)
I created my studio to share with like minded folks and, most important, a place to fully express myself creatively without confines.
All our content is viewable by the public. Why do you want to be a member, when you can already see everything as a non-member?
I wish to surround myself with like-minded artists to learn and collaborate. My most creative pieces have been done with dialog within my studio and a steady flow of ideas that keeps things new and exciting. I have a never-ending well of creations bottled up inside that is just waiting to escape! The folks in my studio continually ask me why I continue to create and test glazes. I feel it is truly expressive to be able to "own" every aspect of my design from it initial idea, through its creation and then, finally, through and including the glaze I apply. It needs to be a complete self-expression. And, of course, my glazes are Cone 6!
